Studio Naegeli Gallery & Archive presents „Equilibrium“, an exhibition bringing together works by Trix & Robert Haussmann, Olga Tatarintsev and Anna Andreeva.
The three artistic positions are united by a shared exploration of freedom within limitation: the ability to create an autonomous, imaginative world inside clearly defined structures, systems, and constraints.
Olga Tatarintsev’s „Limitation“ of Sound series transforms the invisible structures of sound into visual compositions. By working within the boundaries of rhythm, repetition, and acoustic principles, the artist reveals new possibilities of perception and creates a space where sound becomes image.
Trix and Robert Haussmann challenge the conventional limits of modernistic architecture and design. While working within the functional framework of architecture, they continuously search for artistic expression beyond functionality.
Anna Andreeva developed her abstract textile language while working as a designer at the „Red Rose“ Silk Factory in Moscow. Surrounded by the repetitive rhythms of industrial production, patterns, and machinery, she transformed the discipline of textile design into a field of artistic experimentation. Her sketches and works from the Electrification series reveal how strict systems of repetition and geometry can become a source of creative freedom.
Together, the works of Tatarintsev, the Haussmanns, and Andreeva explore the delicate balance between restriction and liberation, order and imagination, function and artistic autonomy.
